Welcome to Guilford College Church!

We believe that church should be alive, active, and relevant in every life, every day of the week. It’s about being a part of something bigger than us. We’re causal and honest. A place where no one has to be perfect, but each person is significant, as we connect to God and others in ways that make a difference. Our hope is that you’ll find GCUMC to be a place where you feel at home and welcome.

  • What will I find?

You’ll find we are a multi-generational, multi-cultural, and multi-ethnic family made up of real people, living real lives, and taking steps toward Christ and helping others do the same. From the moment you arrive on campus we hope you’ll feel at home as volunteers in our Hospitality Team help you get oriented and connected to a group or experience that works for you.

  • Where do I park?

There’s plenty of parking on our campus and across the street at the Credit Union. If you are a visitor, there are spaces designated for you near every entrance. Follow the signs to locate these spots.

  • What’s your worship Style?

Our Sunday early service (8:45) is a classic worship experience that includes liturgy and familiar hymns, while the later service (11:00) is a blended worship experience of hymns, praise songs, and multi-media elements. Dress is casual and you are encouraged to wear whatever is comfortable for you.

  • What about my Kids?

There are options for children from birth through college. Our nursery is staffed with a consistent paid worker as well as several loving volunteers. Your children are welcome to attend worship with you, but we also have a special Children’s Worship Experience they can attend. If you want your children to attend a Learning Group, it is best to enter the Children’s Building from the back parking lot, and head upstairs where the action is.

  • I have a Teenager, where do they go?

Students in 7th – 12th grade are part of our regular worship services, but also have a special area known as the ROCK where you can find them hanging out all week long. There are excellent opportunities on Sunday morning & night, along with small groups on Wednesday nights.

  • Will I be Singled Out as a visitor?

You will not be put on the spot in any way, but we do ask you to step by the Guest Reception Area just outside the Sanctuary lobby where we can share any information that may interest you, answer any questions about the church, and send you home with a gift.

  • What other Options are available?

We encourage you to look through our website to find out about all the offerings for all age groups, that take place all throughout the week. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact any of our staff folks – and be sure to introduce yourself to us when you come visit!
