  • We are so very glad you're considering joining us for some of our biggest celebrations of the year! You are wanted, welcome, and accepted in our church.

    • What should I wear? While Easter Sunday is typically thought of as a time when people dress their very best, we have a range of dress at GCUMC.  You'll be right at home whether you come in jeans or a suit.  Feel free to have fun with your Easter attire!
    • Will I be greeted? We have greeters and parking lot assistants ready to help you find your way and a good seat.  We do have a short "fellowship greeting" within our service when people often shake hands and say "hi" to those around them, but we do not recognize or single out guests in any way during our services.
    • What is the worship style? We have a blended service with a mix of traditional favorites and some more modern music.  You can expect some responsive liturgy, a stirring message, uplifting music and an offering.
    • Will there be activities for my children? Yes! We love kids at GCUMC.  At the 11:00am service there will be a children's moment as well as special children's worship for kids in kindergarten through 6th grade.  A butterfly release is also planned immediately following the 11:00am service.  If you choose to keep your children with you in worship, that's fine too! We have worship bags to help keep our kids engaged during the service. Nursery is provided by professional staff for infants through age 4 at both the 9:00am and 11:00am services.
  • Check out these video resources explaining Easter and some of the Holy Week traditions we celebrate.

      I Want to Learn More!

  • We would love to chat with you! Send a message to welcome@guilfordcollegeumc.org and request to be connected with a pastor or ministry staff who can help!

  • Each year we collect a special offering during Lent through Easter Sunday. This year's offering benefit's Greensboro Urban Ministry's Client Choice Pantry by aiding in the purchase of additional refrigeration needed to accommodate increased donations.  In 2025 we were able to provide around 20 weeks of fresh produce for the client choice pantry. Click the button below to learn more about GUM and how you can support this critical Greensboro community organization.

Give to the work of GCUMC

None of the work we do at our church would be possible without God moving the hearts of our people to give.  Your generosity helps create a church where people feel welcomed, lead, and loved - a place where life-changing stories are being written every week. On behalf of those stories, thank you for giving from your heart.

We give because we have been blessed and because it is a blessing to us, not for fear of anything negative in our lives.  We give out of gratitude and love! You can give your gift safely and securely online - this is one of the easiest ways to give to our church.  Thank you.
